Dingoes! (Fraser Island Day 2)

On the second day we drove to Lake Wabby. The lake had a huge sand dune behind it and it is the deepest lake on the island. On the way we got 'bogged' which means we were stuck in the sand. We had to get out and dig the sand out behind the wheels. We finally got out of the sand with help from other people on the island.

We then went to Lake McKenzie, Wabby's sister lake. It was almost crystal clear and warm. We went snorkeling. There were hardly any fish. It was incredibly beautiful coming out of a forest
 and seeing an fantastic lake.

After we went to Eurong beach resort to have a cup of tea (we are English after all). We saw our first dingo. They look so sweet and innocent but we knew that they could be dangerous. The dingoes on Fraser Island are some of the last full blooded dingoes in Australia, or indeed the world. So it was great to see one.

We went home and watched the sunset on the beach.
