Noosa was a bit boring and very posh. We stayed three nights in a motel, even that was expensive! We did lots of body boarding which was the only way to escape from the boredom. There was also a river beach where Teddy cut his foot open. We didn't go to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, unfortunately.

NOOSA
Noosa was a bit boring and very posh. We stayed three nights in a motel, even that was expensive! We did lots of body boarding which was the only way to escape from the boredom. There was also a river beach where Teddy cut his foot open. We didn't go to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, unfortunately.
THE GLASSHOUSE MOUNTAINS
**Sorry for the long wait but we've been away from an internet connection for a while, more of that later**
On our way to Noosa we stopped off at the Glasshouse Mountains. It was a very beautiful scene with the mountains and a huge forest. The mountains were named by Captain Cook who thought they looked like waste from glass furnaces from his home town in Yorkshire. But the Aboriginals thought that the mountains represented a mother, father and their children.

SEA WORLD
First we went to sea world, it has everything from animals to water slides and rollercoasters to Sesame Street. It rained all day but that meant that there were no queues. I went on the 'Cork Screw'. It went round and round, upside down and loop the loop. I then went to see the polar bear. He had a huge enclosure and you could see him under water in a special room. We saw the dolphins, they were incredible. They did huge jumps, leaps and somersaults with the keepers.
We went to Sea World with mum's friend Vanessa and her son Matty.
We stayed with them that night near Brisbane.

BYRON BAY
We drove out of the town, Coolongatta, and went down the coast to a huge villa in Byron bay. We are in a jungle area but right next to the beach. There are lots of animals and bugs. We have seen massive flies and last night two possums came to visit.
We went to the beach yesterday. It was sandy and had lots of amazing waves. People were surfing, body boarding and swimming.

First day in Australia
We went on a three leg journey. The first was from London to Abu Dhabi, it took 8 hours. The airport had patterns on the ceilings and a huge column in the middle.
The second leg was from Abu Dhabi to Singapore. It took 7 hours but the flight was more boring and I didn't take any pictures because I was very tired.
The third leg was Singapore to Brisbane. In the airport they were suspicious. They had sniffer dogs and lots of checks. It was very warm and there were lots of plants outside the airport. My Dad met us at the airport. It is like a mixture of England and America here. The town that we are staying in is very beautiful and the sand is white.
